Teresa Nguyen

Tess learned guitar at 14 and then started performing in a trio with her musical sisters. She wrote her first song at age 17 and has since written over 190 songs in multiple genres and over 70 poems. Tess has written original music for local theater, including the songs for the five “Tales of…” productions at the Janesville Performing Arts Center. She also co-wrote and co-produced the award-winning series. Teresa is the owner and writer for Janesville Area Stories. In her spare time, she performs with the bands The GoDeans and with Tess & the Wingmen. She lives in Janesville with her husband of 37 years and they have 3 sons, who are also musical dudes. Tess is excited to bring new and meaningful songs and poetry to “Bound” and to collaborate with the creative minds of Ashley Hirsh, Kimberly A. Blanchette and Alexia Hollis! She is grateful for the sweet friendship of all the beautiful writers of this cool show and for all the incredible women who have inspired her to grow, stand strong, to blossom and fly.
