Stephanie Agnew

Stephanie Agnew (she/her) has always enjoyed writing poetry and song lyrics, especially as a way to process difficult emotions and learning opportunities. She loves how poems about specific, individual life experiences can have different meanings and resonance for different people. It’s been a highlight of her life to collaborate with The Circle Arts Collective and the supportive and talented writing team for “Bound.”

Stephanie recently wrote and performed an original monologue in the Unity Onstage Theatre Company/ JPAC production of "Women of Rock County.” She is no stranger to the stage, having participated in several musicals and plays since discovering a shared love of community theatre with her daughter nine years ago. She especially enjoys the new annual tradition of outdoor Shakespeare, having acted in three of the four plays at the RCHS campus. She is also a member of the JPAC Comedy Improv Troupe, Steadily Improv'ing.

From Stephanie:

“It’s been both an honor and great fun to collaborate on this project. I’ve enjoyed the challenge of writing around a theme. My normal process is to make time for writing when I feel inspired by something or someone and then let the poem or story take shape as I write.”
